ASHLEIGH GILLULEY

Ashleigh Gilluley is a British-born, Narrm/Melbourne-based ceramicist whose practice is grounded in intuitive, handbuilt processes. Her sculptural works evolve through tactile engagement with clay, emphasising texture, colour and instinct-driven form-making.

Gilluley draws on medieval lore, Celtic mythology and symbolic iconography, embedding these references into biomorphic structures that feel both ancient and speculative. Her works evoke grottos, coral formations and crystalline systems, translated into a highly personal visual language. She treats ceramics as a space for transformation, where material and myth converge into hyper-evolved forms.

Gilluley has exhibited in group shows at No Vacancy, Green Floor Gallery, Off the Kerb and Brunswick Street Gallery, and presented her debut solo exhibition Held Below in 2025.
