GRUB WORLD

Sibylla Robertson is a Narrm/Melbourne-based artist whose experimental project Grub World explores clay, glaze chemistry, glass and unconventional material processes. Operating as a research-led extension of her broader practice, it functions as a site for process-driven experimentation and material inquiry.

The works produced are intentionally non-functional, foregrounding process, instability and transformation rather than utility. Robertson's practice examines the relationship between art, function and material behaviour through spontaneous making.

Robertson completed a Master of Fine Art at the National Art School in Sydney and has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at Gaffa Gallery and Seventh Gallery. She has received recognition including the Mansfield Ceramic Prize and N.E. Petheridge Award.
